It was with a heart torn apart that Shanin and I made the hardest decision a pet owner (how do we consider them something we own when they are an integral part of the family) has to make.
Bentley crossed the rainbow bridge on January 18th, with Shanin and myself with him at his side. We had searched far and wide and found a vet that had a room set aside for these events with a comfortable sofa & chairs and soft beds for the pets. With it’s own door to the room, Bentley was not nervous like he would have been in a normal vet setting. This made it much easier for us knowing his last time with us was a happy one.

Bentley found us through PetFinder in June of 2011, and weaseled his way into our hearts immediately.

He loved to adventure with us, but I am not sure how much he liked the Bicycle Trailer…

As many of you know, Bentley had gotten very ill in the summer of 2024. It took us far too long to determine that he had Cushing’s Disease, one that affects his auto-immune system and caused him to lose all his fur. With the new meds he was able to have another 2 years with us that we are blessed to take.
We miss you Boo!

I’m so sorry for you all , your loss of Bentley is so devastating! Your memories and pics of him are precious and beautiful. 💔🐕❤️
